The approach
The proposed black soldier fly pilot will test repeatable production under Gambian conditions. Locally appropriate infrastructure, monitored environmental control, feedstock preparation and essential backup power will be assessed before scale-up. Biochar and briquetting are complementary development areas with their own suitable feedstocks and process requirements. Technical discussions and mentoring do not constitute a confirmed funding partnership.
Next milestone
Agree a bounded technical review, reconcile equipment and infrastructure costs, and develop the funding plan.
